There are three licensed products for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (ITSM) for the iSeries. The first is Tivoli Storage Manager (5698-ISX), which is the ITSM server for OS/400 PASE. The second is Tivoli Storage Manager APIs (5733-197), which is used by OS/400 BRMS. The third is TSM for Mail Data Protection for Domino for OS/400. There are advantages to running the ITSM for for OS/400 on the same iSeries server and either or both of the other two products on that same server. This Hint & Tip documents the special installation steps required to install 5698-ISX and either of the other two products on the same iSeries server or partition.
